TIL that using a standard 6 inch brush on a 10 inch flue is a waste of time compared to the right sized one.

I spent 45 minutes on a job in Boulder last Tuesday trying to clean a wide flue with my go-to brush, but switching to a 10 inch poly brush got it done in under 10 minutes, so why do so many sweeps still carry just one size?

Guess I'm the guy who tries to use a butter knife for every screw... I hauled that same 6 inch brush around for years, telling myself it was "close enough" on the bigger jobs. My van's basically a rolling museum of bad time management now.
