Update: Found mold under a client's floor today and faced a hard choice

I had to pick between telling them about the problem or just putting down the new carpet to avoid extra work.

My last home reno project had so much mold it ended up being a whole ecosystem. What did you end up doing for your client?

That's such a true way to put it. It really does feel like the small leaks and damp spots we brush off. Then one day you're looking at a full blown, expensive problem.
