Took me 4 hours to fix a 3 inch seam that kept popping up

My buddy Dave spent like 5 hours trying to put together a cheap bookshelf from IKEA. The cam locks kept spinning loose and he almost threw the whole thing out the window. He finally figured out he had the boards flipped around wrong. Called me at 11pm cussing up a storm about it.

Honestly I don't get the hate. I've built probably a dozen IKEA pieces over the years and never had a problem that wasn't my own fault. Their instructions are pretty straightforward if you actually look at the pictures instead of just winging it like Dave did. Cam locks are simple once you realize they only click tight when the arrow points to the closed lock icon. Most people just don't read the manual and then blame the furniture when they mess up.
