Question about using a seam roller on Berber carpet

I used to just press down hard with my hands after seaming, but after a call-back in Denver for a visible seam, I switched to a 100-pound roller. The weight makes the adhesive spread evenly under the backing so the seam practically disappears. What's your go-to method for a tight seam on loop pile?

Yeah, a 100-pound roller is the only way I've gotten those loop pile seams to really disappear.

You're totally right about the weight being key. I tried a 50 pounder first and it just didn't cut it, left a faint line every time. The extra pressure from the 100 pound roller makes all the difference for that loop pile. It just sinks those seams down flat for good. Makes the final job look so much cleaner.
