Powder actuated tool advice from an old foreman paid off
Last month my foreman Dave told me to stop using the cheap nails in my Ramset and buy the yellow tipped ones from Hilti. I thought he was just pushing pricier stuff, but after two jams on a condo job in Tampa I switched. The yellow tips drove clean into concrete and I finished 14 stair runs without a single misfire. Anyone else see a big difference with those over the standard pins?

Dave's exactly right about those Hilti pins, I learned that one the hard way on a rebar-heavy pour. The yellow tip powder load burns way more consistent, so you don't get that half-driven pin that bends and locks up the piston. If you're doing more than a handful of shots, the price difference pays for itself in wasted time alone.
