Went to that new 'artisan' coffee shop downtown and their custom bar is a mess
The miters on the walnut trim are gapped enough to fit a dime in, and you can see the pocket hole plugs from the seating area. Who builds a showpiece like that and thinks it's okay? What's the worst finish work you've seen out in the wild lately?

Yeah the walnut miters sound rough lol. I once saw a fence built with deck screws poking through everywhere.

The fence thing sounds like they just grabbed whatever screws were closest... Those deck screws can snap if you look at them wrong. But honestly the pocket hole plugs being visible on a showpiece is worse to me, that's just lazy.
