My client's chili saved my soggy roofing job
We were putting on shingles in the rain, and she brought out a big pot of chili for the crew. It turned a miserable day into a pretty good one. Anybody else have clients who feed you on site?

That's cool she fed you, but working on a wet roof is no joke. Super dangerous even with chili.

Yeah, the chili is a side issue. The real problem is the wet shingles. You need to brush off the standing water first, even if it's just damp. A stiff push broom works, gets the slick film off. Then you can chalk a line for your cuts, but keep your weight on your toes, not your heels. It's all about keeping three points of contact when you move.

Actually what gets me is how eating while you work up there splits your focus. One hand for the chili, one hand for balance, that's just asking for trouble on a slick surface.
