I finally got a door on my box fort after 4 tries in Austin
My kids kept knocking the entrance tunnel down every time they crawled through, so I started taping two flattened boxes together as a hinged flap. Last Saturday I used a real moving box with the side cut out, plus a strip of duct tape as the hinge, and it actually swung open and shut. Anyone else build a working door, or do you just leave an opening and hope for the best?

You ever get your hand stuck in one of those flap doors and just accept it as part of the fort now? I built one once and my own arm got pinched so bad I just left the whole thing open and called it a stylistic choice. The kids still crawl through the gap like it's the greatest thing since sliced bread, so honestly, who's the real winner here... it's them, obviously.
