Helped a neighbor fix his fort roof with a simple trick

Last weekend I was building a two-story fort in my garage when my neighbor Mike walked over. He was struggling to keep his cardboard roof from sagging in the middle. I showed him how folding the edges of the box flaps into a triangle shape gives it support. He tried it on his own fort later and said it held up for three days. Anyone else got a quick fix for preventing roof collapse?

Shoutout to Mike for managing three whole days before the inevitable cardboard roof collapse. Maybe next time just staple a pizza box to the center for some extra structural integrity.

Actually I think you mean the cardboard roof lasted three days before the leak started, not the collapse. Mike said the whole thing caved in after like six days when the rain got heavy. But your pizza box idea is solid though, I heard those things are surprisingly waterproof if you get the greasy ones from the leftover pizza night. The cardboard just got too soggy from the morning dew.
