My cousin said the party would get moved to Friday, so I bought 40 bucks of taco stuff
My cousin texted me Tuesday that her kid's birthday bash was moving from Saturday to Friday night because of a storm, so I went out and grabbed 40 bucks of taco supplies that same afternoon. Then Thursday she calls me and says nope, it's Saturday after all, the storm missed us. So now I have 6 pounds of ground beef and a fridge full of lettuce with zero plans and a whole free Friday. I ended up hosting two neighbors and a guy from my building for make your own taco night, which somehow beat the actual party. What do you all do with surprise free nights that suddenly show up?
Did the taco night thing actually turn into a regular deal with those neighbors or was it just a one time fluke? And what made it better than the real party, the people or the fact that nobody had to sit through a kids birthday thing?
