My eyes got really sore from microscope checks last week
I was checking a camera's tiny parts under the microscope for hours. Now my vision feels off when I look away. How do you handle eye fatigue during detailed repairs?

Ever had that moment where you look up from the microscope and the real world looks all weird and blurry? Like, congratulations, you just trained your eyes to see at micron level but now you can't read a street sign. I basically force myself to take breaks every 20 minutes, even if it's just to stare at something across the room. It feels dumb but it really helps reset your focus. Also, adjusting the lighting so you're not squinting as much makes a huge difference. Honestly, it's a trade-off between fixing tiny things and temporarily wrecking your vision.

Calling it 'training your eyes' is a bit generous, it's more like punishing them. The blurry street signs are just your eyes rebelling from all that close work. Taking breaks is basically giving them a timeout so they behave.
