Dropped $85 on a glow in the dark cable fishing rod kit and it was useless
Saw a video online of a guy running cable through a finished wall using this glow rod kit with a magnetic tip, looked slick so I grabbed one for $85 at the supply house in Tucson. Got to a job last Tuesday, stuck the rod in the hole and the magnet was too weak to grab anything, plus the glow part only worked if I charged it under a light for like 10 minutes first. Ended up cutting a second hole and using my old fish tape like always, took 15 minutes total. The kit is sitting in my van now, anyone actually get one of these magnetic setups to work or did I just burn $85?
