TIL my brand new Festool domino cutter can bind up if you don't clean the dust port every 3 cuts

I was running a batch of 20 cabinets last week in my shop near Tulsa and my 500 XL just seized on me mid-mortise. Turns out the fine MDF dust packed so tight in the vacuum port that the machine overheated and shut down for 20 minutes. Has anyone else had this issue with dust extraction on their dominoes or is my shop just extra dusty?

Sounds like your Domino wanted a 20 minute break more than you did?
