Dovetail jig skeptics, hear me out on this one

I spent 12 years cutting all my case joints by hand, swore any jig would ruin the look and take the craft out of it. Last month a buddy in Tacoma let me try his half-blind setup on a walnut keepsake box and it fit tighter than my last three hand-cut attempts. Still love the hand tools for show pieces, but has anyone else found a jig is worth it for production jobs without feeling like cheating?
