Shoutout to the weirdest inventory fix I ever tried
Our warehouse in Phoenix kept having small parts go missing, and our usual tracking system was a mess. Last quarter, I got desperate and started putting a single red Lego brick on every shelf that needed a recount, just as a visual flag for the team. It sounds silly, but after three weeks our missing item reports dropped by almost 30%. Has anyone else used a totally non-standard trick like that to clean up a process?

Honestly, that works because it breaks the visual routine. Your brain just tunes out another sticky note, but a random Lego brick actually makes you stop and look.

That's a solid point about breaking the routine. Does the material itself matter, like the feel of plastic versus paper? Might make the brain notice it even more.
