Had to pick between hiring a full-time ops manager or outsourcing to a virtual team

I went with the virtual team to save cash, but now I'm drowning in follow-ups and communication delays, has anyone else found a good middle ground?

Have you tried splitting the difference, like hiring one part-time ops person to wrangle the virtual team? I used to think full-time was the only way, but this post made me realize there's a sweet spot in the middle.

Hired a contractor for 15 hours a week and it smoothed everything out way better than I expected.
