Why does nobody talk about the messy month after your bujo setup fails?
Back in March I spent a whole weekend building this perfect monthly spread with color coded sections and a habit tracker. By April 10th I had abandoned all of it and went back to scribbling in the margins. My coworker saw me erasing a mistake and said, "So you're just using it as a regular notebook now?" That stuck with me because she was right. I felt like I failed at bullet journaling but really I just forgot that the whole point is flexibility. Has anyone else hit that wall where your fancy setup becomes more work than it saves? What did you simplify down to, like just a daily log and a future log?

And see, that's the thing, I did the exact same thing with a color coded weekly layout back in January. Spent three hours drawing boxes and little icons for water intake, which I totally abandoned by the second week because who has time to shade in a tiny glass every single day. My whole spread turned into this guilt trip sitting there every morning, and that's when I realized the fancy stuff was just making me feel worse about life. I stripped it all down to a simple daily log where I write three tasks and a future log on the back page, and honestly that's been working way better than any of my artsy attempts ever did. The messy month is basically a rite of passage at this point, like you gotta fail at the pretty version first to appreciate the bare bones one, you know?
