Spent $34 on a stencil set and it ruined my whole January spread

I bought a 24 piece stencil kit off Etsy because I wanted those clean little icons everyone posts, and it was a mistake. The plastic is so thin that my pen catches and bleeds under the edges, so now January has all these blurry skid marks around every box. I tried three different pens and even a pencil, and the $34 kit just sits in my desk drawer collecting dust while I redraw the same layout by hand in 20 minutes. Save your money and learn to draw a square, honestly. Anyone got a stencil brand that doesn't smear, or am I just stuck freehanding forever?
