Serious question, did a stranger's notebook tip at a Denver coffee shop actually fix my messy habit?
I was sitting at a cafe on Colfax in Denver 3 weeks ago, staring at my bullet journal spread and feeling stuck. The woman at the next table leaned over and said, "try only 3 tasks a day, the rest go on a brain dump page." I tried it that night with just 3 items and a dump page for everything else, and my daily log finally feels usable. It's not fancy, just a quick note at the top and the rest shoved to the back. Has anyone else gotten a random tip from a stranger that actually stuck?
Funny thing is my own notebook is such a mess that a stranger would probably lean over just to ask if I'm okay. The 3 tasks idea makes sense though, because my to do list is basically a novel at this point. Every time I write down 15 things, I do about 2 and then feel bad about the other 13. Shoving the extras to a brain dump page sounds way better than staring at a wall of stuff I'll never finish. Gonna try it tonight, wish me luck.
