I finally switched from a simple notebook to a dotted Leuchtturm... and I get the hype now, but is it really worth $25?

Look, I used a plain composition book for like 6 months and it worked fine. Then I tried a $10 dotted notebook from Target, which was okay but the pages bled through with my Pilot G2 pens. So I caved and bought a Leuchtturm1917 for $25, and the paper is totally different, no bleed at all. But I'm wondering if the price difference is really fair or if you can get the same quality for half the cost. Which side are you on... budget notebooks or premium?

Honestly, I think $25 is totally fair for quality that lasts.

Fair point, but does the paper really hold up over months or does it start to feather after you've flipped through it a hundred times? I've seen cheaper notebooks fall apart at the spine way before the pages are filled. How's the build quality after you've had it for a while?
