Update: I thought the 30-day cash envelope thing was just hype
Tried it last month for groceries and actually came in $75 under budget, which never happens. Anyone have a good system for the leftover cash each week?

Cash envelopes are just a gimmick that never works long-term.

Tried cash envelopes for a year and it completely changed my spending. Seeing the physical money run out made me stop buying dumb stuff. It's not a gimmick if you actually stick with it.
