Pro tip: Stop buying "travel size" toiletries at the airport

I was at O'Hare last month and saw a guy drop $18 on a tiny tube of toothpaste. For real, check the drugstore a quarter mile before the terminal. A full size Crest tube costs $3 and lasts a week, plus you can get a TSA approved refillable bottle set for $6 on Amazon. Anyone else notice how airport shops mark everything up 400 percent just because you're past security?

Yeah man the airport pricing is a total scam. I always make sure to hit up a Walgreens or CVS before I even walk into the terminal now. You can grab the TSA sized bottles for like a dollar and fill em up with your own stuff at home, saves a ton. Plus those little travel kits they sell are usually half the price if you buy them at a regular store instead of the airport gift shop. Only thing worse is paying $15 for a sandwich that tastes like cardboard.

$18 on a tiny tube of toothpaste" reminds me of the time I paid $12 for a bottle of water at an airport bar.
