Honestly, that sounds like a nightmare. I took a 10 hour bus once and it was pure misery, broken air conditioning and a seatmate who snored the whole way. I'd gladly pay the extra money to get there in two hours and actually enjoy my destination.

Tbh, that reminds me of a bus trip I took where the guy next to me had a whole rotisserie chicken in his backpack. The smell was unreal by hour three. I still can't look at chicken the same way.
