My buddy swore I could use a $10 thrift store subwoofer for a 5.1 setup and it literally rattled my ceiling tiles off during the first explosion scene.
I mean, he was right that it was loud, but after the third bass drop I heard something crash upstairs and found three ceiling tiles scattered across my floor, so now I'm wondering if anyone else has had a neighbor or landlord get mad about DIY theater upgrades.

Did your landlord see the damage or did you manage to patch it up before they found out? I feel your pain though, nothing ruins a good movie night like debris falling on your head.
