I finally wasted $40 on a 'magic' rice cooker that turned everything into mush
I saw this cheap rice cooker online for $40 and thought it would save me money on meals. It claimed to cook rice perfect every time, but my first batch came out like oatmeal. I tried again with less water and it still turned into a sticky blob. I lost about 5 pounds of rice over 3 tries before I gave up. Now I'm back to my old pot on the stove, which works fine for $0 extra. Has anyone else had a kitchen gadget that totally failed on you?

Bought one of those fancy infrared toaster ovens. $80 down the drain. Burned the outside of my bagel, raw inside every time. Tried different settings, different racks. Even watched YouTube videos. Ended up throwing it in the garage. Now I just use my regular toaster from 2015. Works perfect. Some gadgets are just scams.
