Vent: I always thought the cactus garden at the city park was kind of boring...

I went to the Desert Botanical Garden in Phoenix last month and saw a night-blooming cereus for the first time. The guide said it only opens its flowers for a single night each year. I stood there for twenty minutes just watching it slowly unfurl... it was the most patient thing I've ever seen a plant do. Totally changed my view on succulents being just spiky decor. Has anyone else had a moment like that with a plant they used to overlook?

Ever feel like you're the only one who hasn't seen a plant do something cool? I'd probably get bored and check my phone before the first petal moved, so good on you and @jason286 for having that kind of focus. Guess some things are worth the wait.
