That's so cool. I read somewhere that quince rootstock can make pear trees more compact, which is perfect for small gardens. Did the graft actually take and grow this year?

Yeah the quince rootstock thing is a great trick. It's like how we're always trying to make big things fit into smaller spaces these days, lol.
