Hot take: my bone folder snapped on a simple fold last night
I was working on a small run of 50 chapbooks, just doing the final fold on the cover paper, and the tip of my Teflon bone folder broke clean off. Had to finish the job with the back of a spoon, which left some marks I'm not happy about. What's a good, strong bone folder brand that can handle thick paper without giving out?

Man, that's rough. A bone folder snapping mid-project is the worst kind of surprise, especially when you're that close to finishing. Using a spoon as a backup sounds like a real pain, and leaving marks on the cover paper is just adding insult to injury. Have you considered looking into a solid metal bone folder instead of Teflon? They tend to hold up way better on thicker stocks without chipping or cracking like that.

Never really rated metal folders before but now I'm seriously rethinking that, thanks.
