Midway through The Goldfinch I realized I was reading the wrong book
Turns out I'd been speed-reading whole chapters for 3 years because my old book club rushed through everything, then a friend asked what a minor character did in chapter 4 and I drew a blank. Are you a slow reader or a fast one, and has that ever hurt your club discussions?
