I finally stopped letting one loud guy run our book club after the meeting at Rosa's diner
Last Tuesday we met at Rosa's diner on 5th and one guy talked for 40 minutes straight about the ending of our pick. Nobody else got a word in, and two people just left early. So when he paused for air, I said we should go around the table and each person gets 3 minutes, no cutting in. It felt awkward for about a minute, but then the quietest person there said the best thing all night about chapter 12. Turns out the loud guy hadn't even read past chapter 4. How do you all keep one person from hogging the whole discussion?
