Can we talk about the night my book club almost broke up over a pie chart?
Last Thursday at Dana's place in Decatur we hit page 200 of the pick and people started arguing about whether the twist was fair or cheap, and somehow someone pulled out a whiteboard to make an actual pie chart of clues per chapter. I sat there holding cold pizza watching two grown women label a circle 'foreshadowing' and 'vibes' while the host's dog ate a bookmark. When it got to a vote, the split was 6 to 5, so we flipped a coin and the loser had to read the next pick out loud at the meeting. Now there's a rule that any book leading to visual aids gets banned, and honestly I miss the pie chart. Does your group have a tiebreaker rule or do you just let it get messy?
