Heard a guy at the game store say 'I only play games with a BGG rating over 7.5'
I was picking up a copy of Cosmic Encounter and overheard a guy telling the clerk he wouldn't even look at a box if its BoardGameGeek score was below that magic number. It made me wonder how many amazing, weird games he's missed because of an arbitrary decimal point. Do you think a strict rating filter is a good way to find games, or does it kill the fun of discovery?

My favorite game only has a 6.8, so @amy_murphy15 is right about missing gems.
