Had to pick between a new game or fixing my old copy of Catan

My 10-year-old Catan set was missing two wood pieces and the robber was chewed up by my old dog. I could either buy a new base game for $50 or try to find replacement parts online. I went with the parts, found a seller on Etsy for $12, and now it looks a bit mismatched but plays fine. Anyone else ever try to patch up a classic game instead of replacing it?

My cousin printed a whole new knob for his old stove. Took him a week to get the model right, but it saved a junked appliance. Kind of wild what you can fix now. Makes me wonder what else is sitting in basements waiting for a tiny printed part.
