My neighbor Sal changed my mind about the bounce house, and now I owe him a beer
I was dead set on renting a 15 foot bounce house for our July 4th block party in Chandler, but Sal from two doors down asked me one simple question: where are the parents going to stand while their kids jump? He pointed out that at his old block party, the parents all crowded around the front of the thing, which blocked the whole sidewalk and made it feel like a cage. So we scraped the bounce house and put that $220 into three big kiddie pools and a sprinkler setup instead, and honestly the kids ran around way more and the parents could actually sit and talk. Has anyone else switched to water stuff over inflatables, or am I the only one late to this?
Man, my buddy Dave did the exact same switch last summer after his wife pointed out the same thing about parents having nowhere to hang out. They went with two pools and a slip n slide and he said the kids were worn out way faster than they ever got with the bouncer. Your block party sounds like it was a hit.
