Tried app timers for 3 weeks, then switched to a dumb phone for weekends
I kept setting timers on my iPhone for Instagram and Reddit, but I'd just hit ignore after the second alert. Last month I dug out my old flip phone from a drawer and used it Friday night through Sunday night. No apps, no browser, just calls and texts. The difference was night and day, my brain actually slowed down and I read two books in one weekend. Has anyone else tried a separate phone or device as a blocker instead of relying on software?

I heard a podcast where a guy said the "ignore" button is the real enemy, not the timer.
