Serious question, why does everyone set their app timer to 30 minutes?
I've been messing with app timers for about 2 years now and I keep seeing the same advice everywhere: set it to 30 minutes and you're good. But 30 minutes is way too long for some apps and way too short for others, so it never really worked for me. When I set a 30 minute limit on Instagram last fall, I'd just hit the limit, tap "ignore," and keep scrolling anyway, so the timer did nothing. What finally worked was setting it to 5 minutes, which sounds extreme but forces me to actually decide if I want to be there. I know it sounds small, but has anyone else noticed that the magic number is different for every app, or is it just me?
