Picked the physical lockbox over my phone app for focus time
For two weeks I kept flip-flopping between the Forest app and just putting my phone in a kitchen drawer. The app worked okay but I'd tap through the tree-grow screen anyway. So I bought a $12 kitchen safe with a timer and now the phone is literally locked away for 90 minute blocks. First day I nearly panicked reaching for it out of habit, but by day 4 I finished a whole work project I'd been stalling on for a month. Anyone else find that a physical barrier beats any software trick on a bad focus day?
