I just hit 100 hours watching a show everyone says is boring

I mean, everyone online says 'The Bureau' is too slow and nothing happens. I kept watching because I liked the first few episodes, and last week my streaming app said I'd watched 102 hours of it. That's like four whole days. It mattered because it made me realize I actually like shows that take their time to build a mood, even if the plot isn't fast. Has anyone else stuck with a show people call boring and ended up loving it?

Honestly that line about building a mood hits it right on the head. Tbh I see this everywhere now, not just with shows. People call something boring when it just needs you to pay attention a different way. It's like everyone's been trained to expect a big moment every five minutes. Ngl I get why, but it means we miss out on the good stuff that takes time to settle in.

Maybe it's not that deep though. Some stuff is just boring even if you try to watch it differently. People can like different things without it being a big problem.
