I hit 200 episodes of Star Trek TNG and it felt like a weird milestone
I started watching Star Trek The Next Generation back in January as a background show (you know, something to have on while I cook or clean). I didn't think I'd actually track how many episodes I watched, but my streaming service keeps a counter apparently. Last night I noticed I hit exactly 200 episodes out of 178 total, which is weird because I thought there were less. Turns out I accidentally watched some episodes twice (which is fine, honestly, because the show is so chill). It just surprised me how fast that number added up, like I blinked and suddenly I'm 40 hours into a show from the 80s. Has anyone else lost track of their rewatch count and ended up with a number that didn't make sense?

200 episodes in half a year is pretty wild when you think about it... I used to think TNG was just okay, background noise material, but after having it on while I'm doing stuff around the house I started actually paying attention to the character arcs and now I get why people call it comfort TV. It really sneaks up on you how much time you spend with those characters, and honestly that's not a bad thing.

That's interesting, what finally made you stop seeing it as background noise and actually tune in? Was it a specific episode or character moment that clicked for you?
