Vent: a shop regular in Tucson showed me my chain checker was lying to me
I was about to sell a guy a new cassette because my checker said his chain was shot at 0.75. He pulled out his own gauge, checked it in front of me, and it read 0.4, turns out my checker was worn out from 3 seasons of daily use and reading almost double. How often do you guys toss your chain checkers? I never thought to check the tool itself.
