Serious question, has anyone else had a customer bring in a bike with a 'custom' repair that was just a bunch of zip ties?

I mean, back in my first year at the shop, I would just cut them off and do the real fix, no questions asked. But last month, a guy brought in a mountain bike where the whole rear brake cable housing was held on with, I kid you not, 23 zip ties. He said it 'worked fine for a year'. Now I take a picture first, because my boss wants to start a wall of fame for the wildest stuff. It's a whole new level of creative problem solving, I guess. What's the most 'interesting' temporary fix you've seen that someone thought was permanent?

It's probably fine for a short term fix, people do it all the time. Zip ties are pretty strong if you use enough of them. Not the end of the world lol.
