Rant: A customer's carbon seatpost was totally seized in their frame
Had a guy bring in a 3-year-old road bike from Portland, and the post wouldn't budge even with a bench vise. I ended up mixing a solution of ammonia and dish soap, letting it soak for two days, and it finally came free with a gentle twist. What's your go-to method for a really stuck carbon post?

Whoa, careful with ammonia on carbon. That stuff can eat the resin. I've had good luck with just a long soak of penetrating oil instead.

Yeah, that long soak with penetrating oil is the way to go. I left a seized carbon seatpost in a frame with Kroil for a full 48 hours and it finally twisted free without any damage. Patience is key with that method.
