TIL a cool hack for smoke ring formation on brisket
Ngl, I started spraying apple juice on the meat every hour. Honestly, it gives a deeper color and better flavor.

Spraying apple juice every hour really does keep the brisket from drying out. I like adding a bit of vinegar to the spray for extra tang. The smoke ring itself mostly comes from keeping a steady temperature.

Yeah, keeping that temp steady is the real key for the ring. I've found the apple juice spray helps a ton with the color too.
