Why I still offer straight razor shaves when every other shop in my area dropped them
Lots of barbers around here say it's too slow and not worth the hassle, but my clients really value the careful, traditional service. In my experience, that extra time builds trust and keeps people coming back to my chair.

Seriously, the other shops act like a straight razor is some kind of ancient curse. They're missing the whole point that @sarahs27 just said. Guess they'd rather have ten unhappy customers than five really happy ones.

Honestly, good for you. That slow, careful work is what turns a basic haircut into a real service. So many places just rush people through now, and it shows. You're right that taking your time actually builds a better business. People remember how you make them feel, not just how fast you get the job done.
