Update on that new disinfectant spray they pushed at the trade show

I was really unsure about that 'Quick-Dry Clipper Cleaner' they were handing out samples of at the Barber Expo in Columbus last fall. It seemed too good to be true, claiming a 30-second contact kill time. I kept using my old method for months. Then, during a really busy week, I tried it out of pure need. I timed it, and sure enough, after 30 seconds on my shears, a wipe test came back clean. It's now my go-to between clients. Has anyone else put a new product through a real test like that and been surprised?

That 30-second claim is for bacteria on hard, non-porous surfaces. On tools with grooves like shears, you really need a full minute of wet contact to be safe. The wipe test can miss spots the cloth doesn't touch.

Honestly, that extra thirty seconds could save someone from a nasty infection.
