Shoutout to the guy who fell asleep in my chair and woke up to the best haircut of his life
So this older fella named Ray came in on a Saturday afternoon about a month ago, sat down, and was snoring before I even finished the first clipper pass. I just kept going, did my usual fade, lined him up, and he woke up right when I was brushing off his neck. He looked in the mirror, got real quiet, and goes "buddy, I been getting cut for 50 years and nobody ever let me nap." He handed me a $20 tip on top of the $25 cut and said he was bringing his whole card club in next week. Sure enough, six guys showed up the next Saturday, all of them wanting the "nap special." I ain't mad about it. Now I keep a little sign by the chair that says naps welcome, and my Saturday books fill up by Thursday. Any of you ever had a walk in pass out on you and turn it into a regular crowd?

Man I always figured the chatty thing was the job, you know, keep them talking so they dont get bored and you can tell them what looks good. But reading this I gotta say my view changed. Ray got a fade and a nap and now you got a whole card club on the books every Saturday, that aint luck thats you paying attention to what people actually want. I used to think a quiet client was a bored client but a guy snoring in the chair might be the happiest one you got. Might have to rethink my whole approach over here.
