I used to think a hot towel was just a nice extra, but a slow Tuesday in March changed my mind.
I had a regular come in who always had a tight neck and jaw. For years, I'd just do my usual clipper work and a quick neck shave. This time, I took an extra five minutes and gave him a proper hot towel before the shave. The difference was night and day. His skin was way softer, the razor glided smoother, and I got a cleaner finish with zero irritation. He actually sighed when I put the towel on. I've been doing it for every straight razor shave for the past three months now, and I swear my repeat bookings for shaves have gone up. It's not just a fancy add-on, it's a basic step for better work. Am I wrong to think a hot towel should be standard, not a luxury?

He actually sighed when I put the towel on" is the only review you need. If a dude sighs from relief, you're not doing an extra, you're doing the job right.

Okay but @parker543, that sigh isn't always relief. Sometimes it's a "finally" because you took forever. The real win is when they're quiet the whole time because they're actually relaxed.
