Guys, I finally found a way to stop my clippers from overheating mid-cut
I was in the middle of a fade on a thick head of hair last Tuesday and my clippers got so hot I had to stop for 5 minutes. A buddy told me to try spraying a little bit of rubbing alcohol on the blades between cuts and it actually cooled them down instantly. Has anyone else tried this trick or do you have a better fix for the same problem?

Yo have you tried putting your clippers in the fridge for like 10 mins before you start? I do that on thick hair days and it buys me a solid 15 extra minutes before they start getting hot. The alcohol trick works too, but I found it dries out the blades after a while, especially if you do it a lot. I just keep a little spray bottle with water and a drop of clipper oil mixed in, mist the blades between sections, and wipe them off with a rag. Keeps em cool and lubed up at the same time without any funky smells.
