My stand mixer finally gave out after 15 years
It was making a grinding noise for a few months, but I kept pushing it. Last Tuesday, it just stopped dead while I was kneading a double batch of pizza dough. Smoke came out of the motor housing. I had to finish the dough by hand, which was a serious arm workout. Anyone have a good replacement brand that can handle heavy dough?

Used to think they were overpriced, but how many mixers can handle bread dough for 10 years straight?
