My $40 silicone rolling mat turned into a sticky nightmare
I bought this fancy non-stick silicone mat at a kitchen supply shop downtown, thinking it would save me from flouring my counter every time I bake cookies. First two uses were great, but by the third batch the thing started leaving weird greasy marks on my dough. Now it's just sitting in a drawer collecting dust while I go back to my old wooden board. Anyone else have a baking tool that totally flopped after a few uses?

Oh man that sucks! I had the same thing happen with a fancy silicone baking mat and now I just use parchment paper for everything, never looked back.

Honestly, did you try using a metal spatula to scrape it off once it cooled down a bit?
